About This Resource

This draft scenario kit is designed to help French Immersion Kindergarten educators get started with authentic, action-oriented learning. Each scenario includes a series of purposeful sub-tasks that build the oral language, early literacy, knowledge, and skills children need to carry out a meaningful final action.

The sub-tasks bring together 

  • CEFR-aligned language learning,
  • the Neurolinguistic Approach,
  • phonological and phonemic awareness,
  • play-based learning, inquiry, and
  • small-group instruction. 

Ready-to-use teacher materials, assessment opportunities, and student self-assessment tools are also included.

This resource is currently in draft form. Additional scenarios and sub-tasks will be included in the published version.
